Adwords users to get refund???

Per the LA Times, the US Supreme Court has refused to overturn a lower court’s decision to allow a class-action lawsuit to proceed again the search engine and ad network. Stating that Google allowed low-quality websites’ to display ads, the court said that a formula for overchargesshould be used rather than Google’s position that individual damages should be calculated for each advertiser.  We shall see what refunds advertisers will see, if any....

Google Adwords removes right-side ads!

Being implemented as we speak, Google has decided to drop all right-side PPC ads and will show just 3 ads at the top of each page (4 on rare occasions). The upshot is that if you are not shown in the top 3 for your ads low chance they will get seen/clicked on!

Google Adwords launches ‘click to call’ only CTA ads

While Google Adwords has offered click-to-call for a while now as part of adword campaigns via extensions, now they have introduced click-to-call with no other actions available. Targeted for mobile (obviously), these new ads will have a description of the company and only allow you to call – you will not be allowed/able to click through to a website.
